FESTIVAL DAY A HUGE SUCCESS
There was so much to entertain the 15,000 visitors at the 41st Oatley Village Festival on Saturday. The festival offered a range of attractions with 180 food, craft and variety stalls, stage bands and roving entertainment, plus Harley Motor Bike Rides, an animal farm and pony rides. Special highlights this year included the popular Lego Challenge, Quilt Show and the Channel 7 Outdoor Broadcast Unit.
Oatley Lions are still counting, but estimates a record profit of $47,000. Proceeds will be directed to a range of charities, including the farmer's Need for Feed Appeal, State Emergency Services, St John Ambulance, St George Men's Shed and Scouts.
Thanks to our sponsors and volunteers for all their help. Please check the sponsor logos and support them as they supported the Oatley Festival. In particular, major sponsor, Georges River Council were very supportive throughout the planning process.
We reckon the 2018 Oatley Village Festival was a great success this year, but what do YOU think? We are keen to get your feedback: what was good and what was not so good, as we are keen to make next year’s Festival even better.
