There is something for everyone at the Oatley Village Festival, with over 180 food, craft and variety stalls, 
The popular attractions will be back again, including the Harley Motor bike rides, Lions Trash and Treasure, plus amusement rides, face painting and the popular animal farm and pony rides. 
 520 Quilting
For those interested in craft work, Oatley Cottage will again host the popular Quilt Show.
This will be the 3rd year our local quilters have provided a quilt display at the festival.

 SydLUG 1
A new festival attraction this year is a Lego display hosted by SydLUG to challenge the minds of our young ones. Kids building competition entries will be on display.
Entry Cost:  Adults $2  Children (under 12 years) $1 and Families $5 
Visit SydLUG for further details. This event will be held in the upper hall of the Uniting Church in Fredeick Street Oatley. 
Festival entertainment will also include local stage acts, plus bands and dance groups. Long term favourites include street performers include the Riverwood Air League and the St George Pipe Band. To see the Entertainment Schedule, please click HERE.

One of the most popular festival attractions is the Lions Trash and Treasure.
Located on a 1/4 block, there are treasures galore for all ages and interests. Bargain hunters will enjoy the huge stock of second hand books, jewellery, kitchware, glassware, crockery, cutlery, CDs, DVDs plus vinyl records, tools and toys.
Items not accepted include electrical goods, magazines, school text books, encyclopaedias, clothes, shoes, old saucepans or chipped/broken crockery and glassware.

The next Trash and Treasure collection will held on Saturday 13 October 2018 from 10am -2pm

Calendar 2019
The 2019 Oatley Calendar will be officially launched at the Oatley Festival. Copies include stunning images of local flora and fauna and may be purchased at the Oatley Flora and Fauna stall site or the Lions Information Stand at the festival. Copies will also be on sale at the folowing shop outlets: Poveli's Cafe, Mullane's Pharmacy and AdventureCo  
Festival BusThere are so many ways to get to all action at the festival.
Locals may choose to walk or cycle, while others may opt for a train to Oatley. The train station is conveniently located across the road from all the festival action.
Locals are invited to reserve a seat on the Oatley Festival Courtesy Bus. For details contact Jubilee Community Services on Ph 9579 6322 during business hours (Monday-Friday). To speak with Bert, the driver, ring him 0401 969 250 - if unaswered leave him a  message. 
For those arriving by car, there is off-street parking for festival patrons from 6am - 5pm. Parking fee of $5 applies and funds are use to support local community projects.

Special guest speaker at the 40th Anniversary dinner was Gemma Sisia, founder of the St Judes School in Tanzania  The St Judes School project has been supported by Oatley Lions and Leos clubs since 2010.

Dr Joe Collins accepted a cheque on behalf of the Australian Lions Childhood Cancer Research Foundation for $5000. 

Other highlights included the induction of new new members by District Governor, Dennis Halpin (below right). Welcome two new members Yoke (Jing) Kong and Richard Sheahan (below left). 

The big surprise on the night was the presentation of the original Oatley Lions bulletin, presented by Wes Owsnett. Wes was the president of Lugarno Lions when Oatley was chartered in 1977.
